Peru Retreat 2024

Peru is calling you. Deep magic and ancient teachings await

Saturday 21st September to Tuesday 1st October 2024

The sacred lands of Peru hold great wisdom. They serve to help us remember who we truly are and the magic we are innately born with. It takes deep knowing of oneself with a willingness to show up, be vulnerable and be present in every moment. It is through sacred ceremony that you will have the opportunity to connect with ancient guidance and wisdom that will help you to remember your true self.

From a young age, I always knew I needed to travel to Peru but I didn’t know why. It wasn’t until I walked through the gates of Machu Picchu that I broke down into tears that I felt a part of me was home. From that moment on there was something that kept on pulling me back again and again and again. The lands, the waters and the mountains are truly alive and have so much to share if you are open to receive.

I invite you to come and experience the magic for yourself with this incredible, once in a lifetime experience. We will traverse these sacred lands and mountains, while coming into sacred ceremony to truly honour this magical existence in which we have been called to weave and co-create. Now is the time to say ‘yes’ and claim all that your soul yearns for and your heart truly desires.

Your Peru Spiritual Retreat

Saturday 21st September — Tuesday 1st October 2024
11 days / 10 nights

Our sacred Peru Retreat

Our sacred Peru pilgrimage will take us to Machu Picchu and some of the most powerful sites in all of the Cusco region. This is not just a tourist experience because we will be approaching each site with great reverence, often finding a place to sit and connect in sacred ceremony. You will have the option to sit with Wachuma plant medicine (San Pedro), the sacred plant that allows you to connect deep within through your heart. It’s not all serious all the time though, as there will be lots of laughter, as you form a deep connection, not just with those in the group, but yourself and the land. It will be packed with adventure, hiking, and time in the most incredible landscapes you could see with your own two eyes. Throughout our Peru retreat, I will share guided sessions to help you activate your highest expression.

Day 1: Opening ceremony & Q’ero blessing

It is important to arrive at Cusco a day or two early to adjust to the altitude. Day 1 takes you straight into the sacredness of this journey. Through our opening ceremony at a sacred site, you will introduce yourself to the ancestors, Apus, medicine, and guardians of Peru. Then receive a traditional blessing from a Q’ero Andean Wisdom Keeper. After lunch, it’s over to the Sacred Valley for the night.

Day 2: Inca trail

Prepare to set off in the early morning on an incredible scenic train ride through the valley. At kilometre 104, you will disembark and trek the one-day Inca trail to Machu Picchu. Following in the footsteps of the ancient ones, you will have the opportunity to immerse in the ancient ruins and waterfalls as you hike through the cloud forest. Finally, you arrive at the Sun Gate where you see your first mesmerising view of Macchu Picchu. Later, enjoy dinner and exploring the beautiful town of Aguas Calientes

Day 3: Machu Picchu & Huayna Picchu

Arrive by bus to Machu Picchu for a full exploration of this ancient wonder of the world. This is a place of powerful energies which you can feel in the air. Then climb Huayna Picchu, the Apu pictured behind Machu Picchu. From the top, it is almost like being up on a platform in the sky. You will not only look down to Machu Picchu, but you will have a 360-degree view of the whole valley. It is truly a sight you won’t forget in a hurry. After lunch in town, it’s time to head back to Cusco where you have a private room in preparation for the ceremony the next day.

Day 4: Optional Wachuma ceremony (San Pedro)

Grandfather Wachuma, also known as San Pedro, is one of the most powerful medicine teachers. It has been used as a sacred medicine in the Andes for at least 3000 years. Known as a medicine of the heart, Grandfather can open you up to incredible realms of awareness, healing and/or activation. He always shares what is for your highest good. Grandfather is a much gentler guide than the Grandmother medicine. Wachuma holds you more grounded, allowing you to be more present in your body so it is easier to gain clarity and allow you to embody the insights you receive. The ceremony is offered by a beautiful Wachumera with over 20 years experience. After a delicious home-cooked meal and time by the fire, it’s back to your private room in Cusco so you can integrate in peace. This is an optional ceremony and those who prefer can spend a free day exploring Cusco city instead.

Day 5: Integration morning before transfer to the sacred mountains

Enjoy a slow start to the day with a sleep in or explore of Cusco before we embark on a 3.5 hour transfer to the beginning of what will be nothing short of a life changing proceeding few days. We will arrive to Pacchanta where we will get to indulge in swimming in the natural hot springs with one of the most special views in all of Peru. We will then enjoy a traditional and very special dinner.

During these days at Ausangate you can expect absolutely anything from the weather. At an elevation of 4,300m / 14,100ft above sea level, this is a clear and rugged environment. There can be sun, rain, snow and rainbows all in the same day. And, although it is cold up at the mountain, it is one of the most awe inspiring and heart-expanding experiences you could ever hope to have..

Day 6: Apu Ausangate

Today we hike to the most sacred mountain in the Cusco region - Apu Ausangate. He is known as the Grandfather and Guardian of all of Cusco. Not only is he a powerful guide and wisdom keeper, but he is also incredibly supportive of you fulfilling your greatest potential. After breakfast, we hike to the base of the mountain. This is a powerful journey because the land itself is medicine. Ausangate often shares so much along this hike. Personally, I have always maintained a strong level of fitness, and I remember back to my first time hiking to meet Apu Ausengate, I was being initiated. I could hardly keep up with the rest of the group, even purging and requiring a horse along the way. I knew this was all energetic though. Once I sat with the Apu, I felt clearer and stronger than ever. Once at our destination, we will sit in a traditional Peruvian despacho ceremony with a local Paqo. Then it’s lunch and we continue our hike, making our way around the sacred Apu. Tonight, you sleep in a tent on the most sacred of lands.

Day 7: Hike to glacier and lakes

We begin our day with an incredible meal made by our cooks before a day of hiking across this majestic track. It is meant to challenge us, to test our resolve and discover just how far our bodies, our hearts and minds can take us when we put our minds to it. No pilgrimage is ever meant to be easy. It is meant to test our physical, mental and emotional will, knowing that once completed, we will be forever changed. We will set up camp for the evening.

Day 8: Hiking to a truly magical spot

Once we have breakfast, we continue on our hike towards our final destination on what is truly one of the most stunning and memorable experiences of the journey. Once we arrive, we will have time to rest and take in the magical surrounds.

Day 9: Rainbow Mountain

Today we have an early rise to reach our final destination of this life changing hike, Rainbow Mountain. We will get to experience the mountain early, before much of the crowds arrive and make our way down the bottom in time for breakfast before jumping on the bus and travelling back to the comfort of your own bed in a cozy hotel in Cusco. Here, you will have time to rest and grab your own lunch and dinner from one of the many incredible restaurants here.

Day 10: Temazcal

This morning we begin our day with a fast and make our way down to Pisac where we will get to experience a traditional Temazcal. For those that have never experienced one before, you’re in for one powerful experience. It won’t be easy as you navigate 4 rounds in total darkness, whilst immersing in prayer, heat and steam. It is a deep purification of body, mind and soul and will leave you emerging reborn into the world. It is never easy, no matter how many you have participated in, but it is one of my favourite ceremonies to participate in, as it is so powerful on all levels. We will have some time after to cool off and replenish with an option to take a dip and have some fruit before heading back to Cusco to rest and venture out to find your own meal.

Day 11: Closing circle

On this last day of our amazing journey, we will gather for one final time to give our thanks and gratitude for these lands holding and supporting us in such a powerful way. When you work with the sacred sites and medicines in such a sacred way, it often feels that time truly does not exist. Anyone who has worked with me back in Australia knows that an hours can feel like five minutes. You will also have the opportunity set your intentions for the next part of your own journey as you carry this experience onwards with you in your life. Then from 1pm, you are free to make your way to the airport or extend your stay.
